It is a small molossoid, soft and very friendly, small, perfect for those who like this type of dog without being able to possess larger ones. Despite its small size, the French Bulldog has a powerful, muscular, picked up body, of great frame. The head is very strong, wide and square: the skin forms wrinkles and folds almost symmetrical. The skull is wide, almost flat, with a bulging forehead; The stop is very accentuated; the handle is short and wide, the nose very short and camus. The eyes are large, round and dark. Origins and history
His story is rather mysterious. The French say it is an indigenous dog, but the English maintain that it is descended from the Bulldog. It is likely that there was indeed an influence of the Bulldog but it is undeniable that the selection and fixation of the breed intervened in France.
Initially, the bulldog had a dual purpose: rat and keeper. No wonder he became the favorite dog of the butchers and wine merchants whose warehouses and stables he kept.
