  40. It's worth keeping in mind that bad reviews aren't everything.
  42. In many cases in the hosting industry, bad reviews appear for things that aren't fair. For example, one could rate OVH's "kimsufi" brand one star because they don't provide 24/7 phone & ticket support. That does not make them bad, as they might have a great network and hardware, and their target audience (system admins with some server know-how) can manage just fine.
  44. Another example: someone signs up for a hosting service, gets terminated for a Terms of Service violation (which they specifically agreed to when ordering) and so to vent their frustration with something that's their own fault, they post a bad review.
  46. Or maybe someone's service gets terminated for being overdue on payment, taking down their entire business. Again - not the provider's fault - bills should be paid on time.
  48. What matters when reading the review is the context. Why are they badly reviewed? Does the comment matter to you, is it relevant to what you need? Is it for the type of service you're interested in, or something you weren't even looking to buy?
  50. As net rightly said, most happy customers don't go out of their way to post reviews - they're busy doing business and living their lives.

  57. affiliate program or say asking your colleagues already have active subscription to such hosting companies to see what they actually experienced is also a way to get real reviews about the host, hardware or the support...

I have a VPS plan with Buyvm for my personal server for more than one month and i had good support to setup and configure cpanel and other things (PS: Its unmanaged).Francisco and others helped me a lot. Dont go with Digital Ocean, they have problem with the mail servers because of black listed ip blocks. I have blocked a lot of DO ip blocks and every time there is a bot trying to brute force random user access through their droplets, more than chinese hosted bots.

  71. you mention that company provide un-managed vps. if you know how can manage vps then they are good or hire any third party to manage server. or other option is to move with managed vps provider.
