The World automobile Awards (WCOTY) (French: Prix mondial American state la Voiture American state l'année) is associate automobile award designated by a jury of forty eight international automotive journalists from twenty two countries. Cars thought of should be sold-out in a minimum of 5 countries, on a minimum of 2 continents before one Jan of the year of the award. the competition was inaugurated in 2003, and formally launched in Jan 2004. This was as a unified award, the same as several of the continent, and nation-specific automobile of the Year awards already given. Since 2006, awards for performance, green cars, and automobile style have conjointly been given. In 2013, a gift for luxury style was inaugurated.
