You're given 90 minutes to do the test, which seems like a lot of time, but each part of the assessment has several parts so it isn't much time overall. You're basically posing as a guy asking different hypothetical women on a date. Which I thought was interesting, and didn't mind taking the test at all. But the reason I rated it as a negative experience is two-fold. One you are expected to submit a cover letter and resume with the test. Sure, a resume makes sense but not knowing that you have to submit a cover letter until the time clock starts running on the test doesn't make sense. I like to tailor my cover letters to the position, but this wasn't enough time to do so. This wasn't a major thing, but since finishing in 90 minutes is something that you're probably scored on this seemed like an unnecessary pressure. It would make more sense to complete the test and then send other materials after you submit. Besides that, I encountered a minor tech glitch. Which also wouldn't have been a big deal, but since I was being timed and trust me I write fast but needed the entire time to take the test, and submit resume and cover letter this was an added delay. I reached out to inform someone of the glitch, and eventually after it was resolved by me I continued taking the test. I went 8 minutes over so this may have affected my overall score. I just received a rejection email today. Overall, the company seems to have a novel idea a service to help busy men create online dating profiles and correspond with women via a ghostwriter but I felt left out in the lurch constantly getting a canned response email not a human reply. This was the biggest drawback. Work from home jobs can appear pretty sketchy, and when you never make contact with a human it makes it even worse. So my review of the interview process would be neutral if it weren't for those minor things. Also, they have some subtle language in their application about preferring to hire male writers though they say that they will consider a woman with the right chops.
