  2. 1 Satoshi = 0.00000001 Bitcoin (BTC)
  3. A Satoshi is the smallest fraction of a Bitcoin that currently can be transacted, that is one hundredth of a millionth BTC. In the future the bitcoin protocol may be updated to allow further subdivisions, should they be needed.
