The All Of Me singer tried to call it quits with his now wife Chrissy Teigen while on tour a decade ago, but she refused to accept his breakup.
Feisty Chrissy wouldn’t let John go through with his dumping, when he told her he’d be ‘happier single’. She strongly disagreed, and simply told him ‘no.’
Speaking about the incident, John said he’d decided to end things because he felt ‘stressed and busy’, but thankfully she got her way.
The 38-year-old said: ‘I was really stressed and busy. I was just like, “I’d just be happier single right now,” and she was like, “No”.’
"She pushes me to be funnier, not because she’s trying to, I think it’s just being around her. And to be bolder.’
Chrissy responded to his revelation by saying he was just being ‘whiny’ when he tried to break up with her.
She tweeted: ‘It wasn’t a a typical breakup. He was on tour and his voice hurt and he was being a whiny face about everything and so yeah, I was like “no”.’
