  3. But I've filled her bowl.
  4. Wild cat, I say, Sister,
  5. Look, you have milk.
  6. I clink my fingernail
  7. Against the rim. Milk.
  8. With down and liver,
  9. A word I know she hears.
  10. Her sad miaow. She runs
  11. To me. She dips
  12. In her whiskers but
  13. Doesn't drink. As sometimes
  14. I want the light on
  15. When it is on. Or when
  16. I saw the woman walking
  17. toward my house and
  18. I thought there's Frances.
  19. Then looked in the car mirror
  20. To be sure. She stalks
  21. The room. She wants. Milk
  22. Beyond milk. World beyond
  23. This one, she cries.
