We intend to bake a few dozen to sell for fundraising at the Relay for Life in Salinas on June 8th, 2013. I just made these and they turned out fantastic! The batch of Paleo brownies I made were gritty from the almond meal, and had a bitter taste.
How can brownies made with black beans really taste delicious? Not kidding — Must try! Other brownie recipes have hinged on the mixing time. Use your fingers to gently flatten each mound of dough.
Hmm, how high up the pan did they go. This is great and I will definitely make these again and again and again. I will not be posting the actual recipes, but I will only use one image from the post, title, a small quote and link directly back to your post. If you want to north it out. Didnt imagine I would ever throw out a brownie, but these are sad. And they had the perfect moistness.
- Add all ingredients, except chocolate chips, to a powerful blender or food processor and process until smooth. If the finished product is anything like the batter… well lets just say it totally fooled me.
There are 2 types of people in this world: 1. People who have made and love black bean brownies. I, admittedly, was the second type of person, but just the other day, I had a hankering for something sweet, but wanted something a little healthier and I happened to have a single can of black beans in my pantry. I whipped up the batter in my and hesitantly took the teeeniest, tiiiiiniest, little bittiest bite and… IT. I folded in some vegan chocolate chips and once I baked these babies up…they literally blew me away. These are ultra fudgy, so seriously, do it. Make these brownies, because these Black Bean Brownies are ahhhh-mazing. But somehow they still taste so ridiculously delicious. Oh, I should also mention that these are sooooo moist, dense, and fudge-y! Drizzle a little glaze over the top. Just whisk together some powdered sugar, your choice of milk and maybe a little vanilla extract? Moral of the story, you guys need to make these brownies… like ASAP. Hope that helps and I hope you love them! The texture is wonderful—fudgy and ultra chocolatey. No hint of beans whatever. Looking forward to trying again with the pumpkin as written. Thanks for the great recipe! It has 3 tablespoons of oil and one tablespoon has approximately 14 grams of fat. This is a great recipe though. What do you suggest for that? Should I decrease the pumpkin puree or something else? Thanks for making the brownies…so happy you love them! If you wanted to increase the fat, just add an additional tablespoon of coconut oil. Thanks for making these! SO glad you loved them. You could also try storing these in the fridge. I hope that helps! If anyone is wondering, I just tried this recipe with zero chocolate chips as a lower-glycemic option. I still like them! Also, they freeze well too I made these as a way to get more fibre in my diet and was really surprised at how great they tasted.
