  1. Eleven states have announced a state of emergency and at least 17 people were killed as a result of bad weather, most of the causes of traffic accidents.
  2. Blizzard occurred since Friday in more than 20 states in the US. A number of regions in the eastern US, the snow reached a thickness of 102cm and at least 85 million people affected.
  3. New York residents are forbidden to leave the house and to postpone non-essential travel, transport is stopped temporarily and the bridge was closed after the city was hit by the worst snow storm.
  4. New York travel ban in effect since 14:30 local time.
  5. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said the blizzard this time is one of the worst in the city.
