  18. I recently got VPS from OVH, nothing fancy, their entry 4.49$ package, and it was pretty straight forward. I choose Prestashop(64 bit) from the drop down menu, and voila I got my server working, with Apache, Mysql, FTP, SSH, the whole shebang. I got my vpsxxxxxx.vps.ovh.ca adress and it all works.
  19. Now the problem is I got domain from GoDaddy and I want to kind of change vpsxxxxx to that domain. I tried to point the A record to the IP address of the VPS, but that just forwards the domain to the vpsxxxxx address. Also in the order confirm email there is vpsxxxxx.vps.ovh.ca in the website address. So I need guide to change this. I got a lot of confusing information online like, Apache Virtual Host and secondary DNS, and ReverseDNS, and quite frankly is overwhelming. So I need step by step guide, preferably from a person with an experience with OVH VPS. I have only one prestashop website, so have that in mind.

  31. You probably need to change the hostname for the vps to your actual domain name and configure a serverlias in apache as well. You might want to do it from SSH. Apache virtualhost entry is also another way to get it working but you need to figure out the paths for it. Your best would be to hire someone for a one time quick fix and get the setup sorted just so that trying guess work on the server is not advisable.
