The European Parliament is finalizing the details of a legislative package aimed at protecting Internet users.
"It is very important that we move quickly so that hackers do not choose Europe to attack. But also to increase security and expand the reach of it. Because we must be aware of how the malware pandemic is growing around the world. And in Europe, precisely during the other pandemic, we have seen attacks on hospitals and institutions ", explains Bart Groothuis, MEP from the liberal group Renovar Europa.
Rarely has there been so much consensus at the parliamentary level on the need to improve the security of European networks. But there are also those who fear that the greater the security, the greater the control.
