Just then a woodpecker lands in the sapling.The tall tree says”Woodpecker,youare a tree expert. Can you tell if that is a son ofa beech or a son of abirch?” The woodpecker takes a taste of the smalltree. He replies: “It is neitherason of a beech nor a son of a birch. That, myfriends, is the best pieceofashI have ever put my pecker in.”
