The Parque National Tinfunke was nominated by the Delegation Permanente du Paraguay back in 1993 to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization as a possible World Heritage Site. So far, the organization has not yet studied the area if it is indeed encompasses the standards of a World Heritage Site. Still, the park is a national attraction in Region Occidental and it receives quite a number of local and foreign tourists each year. It is truly one of the places to visit in Paraguay.
