I'm reading the blog of a guy named David Sowka (@einfachuebel): http://www.einfach-uebel.com (german).
In 2009 he created a Twitter account called @KCNA_DPRK using Twitterfeed
- journalists thought it's a legit source until he admitted that it's not:

I was curious if this could still happen nowadays so I created the Twitter account @SilkRoadDrugs
- I don't own the Silk Road; I've never bought anything on the Silk Road; I don't work for them and I don't do drugs.
After a while some people paid attention to what I posted there and it was quite interesting:
many people asked me for interviews and tech support using Twitter.
The Dread Pirate Roberts has never commmented on this Twitter account and after wired.co.uk mentioned it,
everyone thought it's totally legit - well.... IT'S TOTALLY NOT.
If you're a journalist you need to be fast, but on the internet it's very easy to say that you're someone else - you need to be more like WikiLeaks.
You probably thought that this account is real and I hope you'll learn to verify your sources and check what journalists are telling you.
His awesomeness,
