  1. Pad Thai
  2. Cook time:
  3. 40 - 45 mins
  4. Ingredients:
  5. 16 oz rice noodle
  6. 6 tablespoons pad thai sauce (more if so desired)
  7. (optional) 2 - 16 oz choice of protein (in this recipe de-veined and peeled shrimp)
  8. 1 egg lightly beaten
  9. 2 green onions thinly sliced
  10. garlic powder
  11. salt
  12. pepper
  13. Instructions:
  14. In a a pot boil 4 cups of water
  15. Once boiling, remove pot from the heat
  16. Place rice noodle in water, adding enough extra warm water to cover noodles entirely
  17. Let noodle soak for 25 minutes, rinse and drain when finished
  18. In a pan add lightly beaten egg, scramble until the egg is set and mostly solid *no more than 2 minutes*
  19. Set egg aside
  20. (optional) In a wok/skillet/large pan add protein if desired and stir fry until cooked, season with garlic powder, salt, & pepper
  21. In (same) wok add drained noodles, add egg, add sliced green onion. add pad thai sauce
  22. Stir fry for 3 - 5 minutes
