It is indeed unfortunate, but let us be understanding a little and see that there was a reason for the cancellation of the meeting which was clearly conveyed in situ the press release. If proper planning and information gathering is underestimated and not achieved, what then is the reason for a meeting?
But then again, they are to be blamed for not seeing things ahead of time, they should know when the allotted date for a meeting actually makes preparation possible and fail-soft. You don't cancel important meetings of this cadre for reasons that are subject to your incapability or lack of proper preparation sense.
