Two intercontinental ballistic missiles tested in July were capable of hitting the mainland U.S., according to weapons experts. Experts say both were fired at a steep angle to avoid hitting land and fell into waters off the coast of the Korean peninsula. But at the right angle, the experts said the missiles, in theory, could hit the mainland of the United States.
