The people of Israel lingered in Kadesh - Barnea for 40 years. It was a border location into the promised land. In other words, the people stayed at the corridor of the promise land for 40 years, while the normal duration for the journey was eleven days. I can almost hear you ask what they were doing all that time at the corridors of Canaan. How come they settled for less than the best for their lives? How did crumbs from the table become so attractive that they lost sight of the banquet table that was prepared before them?
Kadesh - Barnea was the location where the future of about 3 million Jews took a detour from God's plan. Why? They accepted the evil report (the discouraging statements of the ten spies who were sent to spy out the land of Canaan). However, two men, Joshua and Caleb went beyond Kadesh Barnea. They dared to be different and wholly followed God in spite of the pressure from public opinion (see Numbers 14:7-10; 32:11-13). Do you know the same applies to you and I today? This year by the force of the blessing, you will rise above public opinion. Let this truth register in your heart and become a persuasion - it is a solo trip to cross over from Kadesh Barnea to Canaan.
Beloved, Kadesh - Barnea is your comfort zone. It buries your dream. Greatness emerges when you are willing to go beyond Kadesh - Barnea. How long are you going to wait for all things to become equal? There can be no better time to cross over than now. So this month, confront your excuse of 'no capital' which you have told yourself for months. It's a lie from the devil to keep the dream of starting your business in a cooler for a long time. The blessing is the capital you need to change your story. Engage your faith in the creative force of the blessing, it will relocate you from Kadesh Barnea. Your stay at the border of the promise of God has expired. It is time to cross over.
