  3. We also don't use a copy protection app. Please save the script block as Enable-AddIn.
  4. This problem has been popping up for our users the last year: Whenever a user would start Outlook after reboot or simply restarting Outlook the Skype Meeting Add-in would be missing from the ribbon and had to be manually enabled to show up again. In this case, the Outlook addin is Act. Good luck JerryWhy would I need to create a script to be run every startup. Also, You will still get the warning from Outlook wanting to disable the add-in if performance is affected and if you don't adjust the resiliency settings.
  5. Graduated with a degree in Bioinformatics from Baylor University but most of my time is spent in the Financial industry. Removing the object through the Com Add-Ins dialogue and then re-adding it there seems to correct the issue. Will this stop Outlook disabling the addin no matter what well due to loading times anyway? Will this require the user to close and open Outlook? My company has been putting up with what sounds like the same issue you are seeing for years. Bear in mind that these files are correctly set up in the registry with the value 3 so they should load at startup. This would re-enable the add-in whenever the user logs in. Also, You will still get the warning from Outlook wanting to disable the add-in if performance is affected and if you don't adjust the resiliency settings. If the Load Behavior is correct, please try to disable all the other add-ins and restart Outlook to determine if it is caused by conflict with the other add-ins. We get a fair bit of the general errors where the plug-in is loaded but not connected and we handle that in code. Solution: To solve this problem, you need to delete the extend.
  6. How to Fix Inactive Outlook Add - Exit the dialog without changing the name.
  7. Outlook also disabled Business Contact Manager. Fortunately, there is a solution: set a registry value to force Outlook to always load the add-ins. Browse to the following key, add a string value using the addin name and set it to 1. Right click on the key or Value name, choose Rename then select the name and copy Ctrl+C. Exit the dialog without changing the name. The Add-in is not crashing outlook but occassionally it can be slow to load due to the add-in contacting a remote server not the best practice i know but we didn't skype add in for outlook 2019 keeps disabling it. I only want to alter one machine and want to do it by the registry. It seems you may have the knowledge here but it needs to be clearer before I make any changes There is only one set of registry keys for this - so both gpo and non-gpo will use the same keys. You can view it in a text editor and see what I mean. It causes the registry key to create its own Software path instead of using the existing one. You'll want to write the key by hand and not copy it. Diane, Can you explain how to set a policy so that the key is created for the Outlook addin that is disabled every time Outlook starts. In this case, the Outlook addin is Act. Also, will changing the value in this key have the same effect as doing so in Policies. Addin change LoadBehavior from 0 to 3 I had the case where the GoToMeeting Calendar plugin was disabled because of crashing. There was already an entry for it in DoNotDisableAddinList so I left that. Started Outlook and my plug-in was back.
