Leonardo Dicaprio and Bree Larson became winners of SAG!
For the 22nd time the Guild of actors of the USA (SAG) distributed the awards. Didn't do without surprises. So, Idris Elba left at once with two figurines, and the award for the best actor's ensemble was got by the tape "In the Center of Attention". The first award SAG was got by Leonardo Dicaprio. An award for Best Actress alienate Bree Larson for "Room".
SAG-AFTRA — the largest association of actors representing nearly 160 000 people working in the industry of cinema, television and radio. Nominees are defined by special committees: 2250 actors nominate colleagues on a cinema and as much, 2250 people nominate nominees for works on television.
The choice of nominees is conducted from November 18 to December 7 whereas since December 16 the vote covering all members of SAG-AFTRA begins.
We will remind that for "Oscar" about 7000 people, and the largest department — actor's vote. Not all members of SAG-AFTRA are members of film academy, but the majority of actor's department of film academy consists in SAG-AFTRA. Therefore distribution of the awards SAG usually is the good tool in a prediction of "Oscar".
For the last three years all four winners of SAG regularly brought home "Oscar". For 21 year of existence of an award the film academy dispersed from SAG in a choice of the best male role only four times, a female role — six times. In supporting roles a divergence such: men have eight times, at women — seven.
But as for an award for the best actor's ensemble, here at an award not such exact indicators. The category debuted 21 a year ago, and for all this time only a half of noted movies won the nomination "The Best Movie".
