The Cotopaxi National Park is a very large national park in Ecuador and because of its massive size, the park lies on the borders of three provinces – in Cotopaxi, in Pichincha and in Napo. It has an area of almost 33,400 hectares. The Ministerio del Ambiente manages the affairs of the Cotopaxi National Park and it was founded in 1975. The park has three potentially active volcanoes and the tourists go there to take a peek. Cotopaxi volcano, Ruminawi volcano, and Sincholagua volcano are those three volcanoes.
