Monsta X is gearing up for their comeback with their 5th mini album, The Code. A huge thanks to my Responsible in Washington State. The song lyrics talk about how utterly in love the singer is with you, the listener. Dang these guys are intense. American by birth; international by choice.

  6. With seven members, Monsta X debuted on March 14th, 2015 with the song Trespass , and their success took off from there. However, even with a substantial fan base and great songs, they failed to get their first win an award at a The Show. This goal seemed out of their reach for two years, so long that their fans almost gave up hope. This is a review of the album that got Monsta X their first win. Toying with the idea of time travel and friendship, the music video is not one to miss. The music itself is upbeat and catchy with a little edge, making it enjoyable and energizing to the listener. Even without knowing the lyrics, this music makes you pumped up. The song lyrics talk about how utterly in love the singer is with you, the listener. Dang these guys are intense! Now or Never: Now or Never is an upbeat song, starting with a strong beat and a rap. This song tells you to live with no regrets; do what you want now, or never. You only have one life to live, so why not just live it fully by your values. The straightforward song matches its straightforward vocals and beat. In Time: This has a definite softer tone compared to the previous songs in the album. With a beautiful and haunting melody in the intro, In Time soothes us with soft vocals and a mellow beat that flows with the song. As per the title, the song deals with the concept of time, playing with past, present, and future of a relationship. The singer has lost his relationship with a girl and remembers the memories, he writes them down, and wishes for a future with her in his arms. It is a melancholy song, perfect for when you want to feel slightly sad and angsty. From Zero: This was produced by one of the members, Shin Hoseok or Wonho his stage name. However, if you ignore the lyrics and just want to feel soft, just listen to this song. The vocals are amazing, and the song is just god-tier. X: X is lit, for lack of a better word. You can get pumped to this song. The lyrics are weirdly aggressive look up the full lyrics if you have a chance. It is a complete 180 from From Zero, and I am all here for it. Tropical Night: Tropical Night is one of my favorite songs, but it was an acquired taste. At first I did not like it, but as I listened more, I was intrigued. I love the raps in this part, and the change in style. I have not seen Monsta X do a song like this in a while, if ever. Monsta X here talks about their star power and how they will take the world by storm one stage at a time. I completely agree with this sentiment, and along with the awesome raps and beat as well as the smoothness of the vocals, Tropical Night is probably the best song on the track. Deja Vu: Last but not least is Deja Vu. The beginning reminds me of a chase; it gets my heart pumping. The vocals in this song are great. You can distinguish between the vocalists and their strengths. The high notes, the soft notes, the lower parts, are all handled by those who can sing those parts the best, leaving the song high quality and highly enjoyable to listen to. I might be slightly biased, but I would give this Album 5. Xs and out 5 Xs. Yeah, it is that good. Congratulations Monsta X on your first win, and let us hope there are many more to come!
