A murder probe has been launched after a 37-year-old woman was found dead in a house in Essex.
Police are questioning a man, 43, after the woman's body was found in a property Colchester yesterday evening.
Detectives are appealing for information and are currently on the scene at the quiet cul-de-sac in the south of the town.
A police spokesman said: 'Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Colchester.
'Police were called by the ambulance service shortly after 7.45pm on Tuesday, September 12 with reports the 37-year-old had been found deceased at an address in Avignon Close.
