  1. I. EXORDIUM:
  2. Do you exalt GOD or your self?
  3. II. AUDIENCE PROFILE:
  4. Believers
  5. III. OBJECTIVES:
  6. To show that JESUS is the One we exalt every time there's a need, a problem, focusing on the problem rather than on JESUS does not exalt JESUS but it exalts the problem.
  7. IV. TEXT:
  8. Psalms 46:10 (Amplified Bible)
  9. 46:10 Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!
  10. Psalms 46:10 (The Message)
  11. 46:10 "Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything."
  12. V. THESIS:
  13. Thank You very much, LORD JESUS, because of You reaching out to me, I am able to calm down worshipping Your Presence, You are exalted among the unbelievers and You are exalted over all the earth. LORD JESUS, be exalted in my heart, be exalted among the nations, and be exalted among the earth.
  14. VI. TITLE:
  15. JESUS is exalted among the nations of the earth
  16. VII. EXPLICATION:
  17. A. Author: Authorship of many is uncertain, generally or widely attributed to King David.
  18. B. Purpose: To praise and worship JESUS.
  19. C. To whom written: To GOD, to the author himself
  20. D. Main Themes: Prayer and Praise
  21. VIII. MAIN BODY:
  22. A. JESUS, BE EXALTED IN MY HEART. -- Be still and know that I am GOD
  23. "Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God."
  24. Let the Presence of JESUS consume you all over, from head to toe, and not the activities and traffic of everyday lives, don't be consume by the daily concerns and cares of this world, but be consume of the loving Presence of JESUS.
  25. There is a proper order of knowing GOD, you don't just jump up right at knowing JESUS but first be still. Be still came from Hebrew word "raphah" is the same word used in the title of JESUS as "JESUS, the Healer", meaning to cease, to consume, to draw. Draw near to GOD and His very Presence will heal you. Focus your attention on JESUS.
  26. Hebrews 12:2 (Amplified Bible)
  27. 12:2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
  28. Habakkuk 2:20 (Amplified Bible)
  29. 2:20 But the Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth hush and keep silence before Him.
  30. Zephaniah 1:7 (Amplified Bible)
  31. 1:7 [Hush!] Be silent before the Lord God, for the day [of the vengeance] of the Lord is near; for the Lord has prepared a sacrifice, and He has set apart [for His use] those who have accepted His invitation.
  32. Zechariah 2:13 (Amplified Bible)
  33. 2:13 Be still, all flesh, before the Lord, for He is aroused and risen from His holy habitation.
  34. No one will know this is what you're doing, but it's a personal thing between you and GOD, and we differ from expressing our being stillness with GOD. But you know in your heart that you are still in GOD's Presence. Being still is different from a panic. Your body might not be moving, and you're still not be still in Him, but you are moving and yet you are still. The mind has the major role in being still with GOD, it has to do with our focus. Are you focus in your problem? or Are you focus on JESUS?
  35. Illustrations:
  36. Beware of still water, a still dog, and a still enemy. Yiddish proverb
  37. —Great Thoughts
  38. Still is defined as "To stop, as motion or agitation; to check or restrain; to make quiet; as, to still the raging sea." - Webster's 1828 Dictionary
  39. I easily get distracted that's why I always sit in front even if I'm not the preacher because if I stay at the back, I look at people and things and get distracted and my focus was to them not on JESUS's Presence in the church. What I'm saying is, we can't easily solve our problems in life, but we don't focus or think on the problem if we want to really know GOD, with our mindset, we get away from all the problems and "EMPTY" ourselves with GOD's Presence. For rich and poor people alike, we tend to focus on money, if we are rich, we focus on what to buy next, the most expensive gadget that we can have, and if we are poor, we tend to focus on how to become rich, both the same. But rich and poor alike must focus on JESUS, not on getting rich, not on buying lots of stuff, but on JESUS. Remember, the Blessor is JESUS, also don't forget the Blessing because it's JESUS as well.
  40. Blessing is singular in the Bible found was mentioned 67 times compared to blessings (as plural) with only 9 occurences. Because the Blessing is only One, and that is JESUS.
  41. Proverbs 10:22 (Amplified Bible)
  42. 10:22 The blessing of the Lord—it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].
  43. No one is beside GOD, there's no second god. Only One GOD that is, JESUS, the Messiah. We really can't have a relationship with JESUS if we are busy or pre-occupied with ourselves, be occupied with JESUS. How? Read, meditate, memorize, sing, study, and research GOD's WORDS, THAT'S HOW! You can't say that you are absorbed with JESUS' Presence if in the church, you don't even carry one bible or bibles in your netbook, mobile phones, android or IOS!! It's now easy to get a free copy of GOD's WORDS! I hope you don't have an excuse. Shame on churches where there's a bible that can be borrowed, you are teaching your church members not to bring their own. Invest on GOD's WORD, the HOLY BIBLE, it's an investment that will return here on earth and in heaven.
  44. Luke 21:33 (Amplified Bible)
  45. 21:33 The sky and the earth (the universe, the world) will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
  46. Psalms 83:18 (Amplified Bible)
  47. 83:18 That they may know that You, Whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.
  48. Psalms 100:3 (Amplified Bible)
  49. 100:3 Know (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God! It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]! We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
  50. Example of Jethro: - Jethro was long already a priest (Exodus 3:1)
  51. Exodus 3:1 (Amplified Bible)
  52. 3:1 NOW MOSES kept the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the back or west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb or Sinai, the mountain of God.
  53. Exodus 18:11 (Amplified Bible)
  54. 18:11 Now I know that the Lord is greater than all gods. Yes, in the [very] thing in which they dealt proudly [He showed Himself infinitely superior to all their gods].
  55. It took Reuel, Raguel or Jethro to really declare that He know GOD personally this time, several chapters from Chapter 3 to Chapter 18. It might not that He is not conscious for he's already a priest, but His declaration showed proof of what is in his heart.
  56. You just don't act in hypocrisy and declare GOD's goodness but you declare because you are already filled to the brim, there's a lot of difference there.
  57. B. JESUS, BE EXALTED AMONG THE NATIONS. -- JESUS is exalted among the nations
  58. "I will be exalted among the nations!"
  59. Nations or heathen is the same in that verse, meaning a foreign nation, a Gentile, people. Seems to me that JESUS will be exalted not inside the church, but among those who don't believe in GOD or unbelievers. We see it partially happening if not, but we're not there yet completely. This is a prophecy in the making, still waiting to be unveiled.
  60. Psalms 21:13 (Amplified Bible)
  61. 21:13 Be exalted, Lord, in Your strength; we will sing and praise Your power.
  62. Psalms 57:5 (Amplified Bible)
  63. 57:5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let Your glory be over all the earth!
  64. I'll give you an illustration in the time of a heathen king named Nebuchadnezzar. In Chapter 2:47 of Daniel, He's exalting GOD, but He called Him as "your GOD, Daniel not mine", and in Chapter 3, we see here who's the real god of Nebuchadnezzar, and that is himself. He knows already that in his dream the gold head is him, why not take only the head, why not make it an entire person or body of gold. Obviously, he wanted his reign as king to last forever, that's a good ambition, but the second one is not, and he wanted his kingship to be "worshipped" by everyone else. Only GOD needs to be worshipped not anyone.
  65. Example of king Nebuchadnezzar:
  66. Daniel 2:47 (Amplified Bible)
  67. 2:47 The king answered Daniel, Of a truth your God is the God of gods and the Lord of kings and a Revealer of secret mysteries, seeing that you could reveal this secret mystery!
  68. Daniel 3:1 (Amplified Bible)
  69. 3:1 NEBUCHADNEZZAR THE king [caused to be] made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits or ninety feet and its breadth six cubits or nine feet. He set it up on the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon.
  70. Even though in ignorance, Nebuchadnezzar exalted the GOD of Daniel, he doesn't really know the extent of GODship of Daniel's GOD. Mostly accepted, as long as he exalted the GOD of Heaven. You might be exalting JESUS, saying good things about JESUS, but still doesn't have any relationship with Him, that can be possible. Knowing GOD, and having a relationship with Him is different as you can say you know my wife but I have a relationship with my wife.
  71. Example of Pharaoh and the Egyptians:
  72. They exalted the GOD of the Hebrews but still don't side with GOD's People, the Israelites. They just exalted GOD out of comfort for the people of Israel to leave their country to avoid more destruction.
  73. Exodus 12:36 (Amplified Bible)
  74. 12:36 The Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they gave them what they asked. And they stripped the Egyptians [of those things].
  75. Exodus 12:31-32 (Amplified Bible)
  76. 12:31 He called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, get out from among my people, both you and the Israelites; and go, serve the Lord, as you said.
  77. 12:32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone! And [ask your God to] bless me also.
  78. Pharaoh acknowledged that the GOD of the Hebrews can brought about plagues and a blessing, (exalting GOD) but He would rather stay in Egypt and die. One nation of Egypt exalted JESUS, but never came to Him in repentance so we know the end of them in the Red Sea.
  79. Exodus 14:27-28 (Amplified Bible)
  80. 14:27 So Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength and normal flow when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled into it [being met by it]; and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians and shook them off into the midst of the sea.
  81. 14:28 The waters returned and covered the chariots, the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that pursued them; not even one of them remained.
  82. Here you will see Moses repeating our text.
  83. Exodus 14:13 (Amplified Bible)
  84. 14:13 Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again.
  85. C. JESUS, BE EXALTED OVER ALL THE EARTH. --JESUS is exalted among the earth
  86. "I will be exalted in the earth!"
  87. JESUS made a specific source of exaltation, that is coming from unbelievers, or the heathen, or those who don't have any relationship with Him at all, yet exalts Him. Now JESUS covered it all, across the board, the whole earth this time will exalt Him. Yet another prophecy to come.
  88. But what do you personally believe? Others are already accustomed at being different from what they personally believe and what they profess or declare outside of their heart in front of the people. Learn to make it one and the same, but it has to start from within, from the heart, make it happen, that what you personally believe in your heart is what you also profess and declare, then real and true change will start.
  89. Psalms 57:5 (Amplified Bible)
  90. 57:5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let Your glory be over all the earth!
  91. This is the prayer of the Psalmist and our prayers too that GOD, someday will also be exalted over all the earth.
  92. Psalms 57:11 (Amplified Bible)
  93. 57:11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let Your glory be over all the earth.
  94. Psalms 108:5 (Amplified Bible)
  95. 108:5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let Your glory be over all the earth.
  96. Psalms 148:13 (Amplified Bible)
  97. 148:13 Let them praise and exalt the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted and supreme! His glory and majesty are above earth and heaven!
  98. JESUS is the One we exalt every time there's a need, a problem, focusing on the problem rather than on JESUS does not exalt JESUS but it exalts the problem.
  99. IX. CONCLUSION:
  100. Thank You very much, LORD JESUS, because of You reaching out to me, I am able to calm down worshipping Your Presence, You are exalted among the unbelievers and You are exalted over all the earth. LORD JESUS, be exalted in my heart, be exalted among the earth, and be exalted among the nations.
