  2. Seoraksan National Park is a nature reserve and is one of the national parks in South Korea. The park is located at the Korean Peninsula. Sometimes, it is also called Soraksan and this is in reference to the mountain within the park, Mount Sorak. It was designated as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO since 1982 and its designation has been extended up to 2016. There are at least 1,562 species of animals living in the park plus 1,013 plant species – some of which are endangered.
