  3. Nine-inch iPad Professionals are supposedly more potent and quicker than ever sooner than, however it is laborious to inform if they may be able to in truth beat the Floor Professional 6 within the efficiency race. It took 7 minutes and 47 seconds to transcode a 4K video to 1080p using Adobe Rush, which is a far cry from the 31:54 that the Surface Pro 6 took. Apple's pen can attach magnetically to the iPad Pro, similar to the Surface Pen, but can also wirelessly charge at the same time, whereas the Surface Pen requires you to replace the battery.
  4. For most people, the iPad Pro is the winner At the end of the day, the iPad Pro is the better buy over the Surface Pro 6. As for that display, both Apple and Microsoft manage to pack plenty of pixels in for your viewing pleasure. We have looked at all the possible factors that can influence a purchase like this.
  5. The newly announced Pixel Slate also has a few standout features from the rest, including front-facing speakers and a 3:2 aspect ratio display. Not as good as side by side view. For most people, the iPad Pro is the winner At the end of the day, the iPad Pro is the better buy over the Surface Pro 6. Google revealed the Pixel Slate alongside the Pixel 3 on October 9th, 2018. Imagine if you were reading a document on a tablet and then you wanted to compare two parts of the same document, side by side. The Surface Pro 6 comes in a variety of configurations. Thank you for your replies! Microsoft Surface Pro 6 Apple iPad Pro 12.
  6. iPad Pro 2018 vs. Pixel Slate vs. Surface Pro 6: All specs, compared - Microsoft has been doing the detachable keyboard thing for a long time now, and as such, it should come as no surprise that Redmond is simply better at it. I suspect that because of this, the Surface 7 won't be released in the Spring but next fall as the software is put into place.
  7. I'm a writer who currently has a 2011 Mac Mini as his main work station and an iPad Pro 10. I currently use my iPad Pro for writing and editing documents on the go or as my lone device when traveling for pleasureas well as watching video, reading the newspaper, etc. For the upcoming holidays, I will be giving the iPad Pro 10. Per the title, I am stuck between an surface pro 6 vs ipad pro Pro 11 and Surface Pro 6. I think these are both great prices for great devices. As someone who has always enjoyed his iPad, I'm still tempted by the Surface Pro 6. I had the Surface Pro 3 for a month at my old job and found it great except for the occasional hiccup that would bother me. Do any writers out there use the Surface Pro 6 as the primary device. The actual trackpad to edit documents would be a huge upgrade. As for non-writing things, I have to say its attractive that I can download programs on the Surface Pro that I wouldn't have access to on a iPad, as well download video from any sources straight to the Surface itself, without having to go through all the hoops of converting it to the iPad. I'm sorry for the wall of text, but I value everyone's opinions here. Thank you for your replies. I'm sure you're all probably tired of these posts and I don't blame you. I read through the previous ones and thought mine might produce different answers. Also the smart cover keyboard wasn't the best and lacked back-lighting. The keyboard gives superior typing experience compared to the iPad smartcover. Getting the Microsoft Care next week as good protection for mobile use and accidental breakage. Also now getting more practical extended work uses that I couldn't get with my iPad Pro. The surface is a much better laptop than tablet if that factors into your decision. I find that having a trackpad makes writing and editing documents in Word much better than touch only. I have an older iPad Pro and surface pro 6. Windows 10 is getting better with its tablet interface but the iPad is far superior in that regard. I primarily use Pages to write I would have to switch over to Libre Office on the Surface and can't tell you how many times I wish I had a trackpad. Battery Life was a bit of a concern from what I read, but as long as I can get to work and back, I don't mind. You might also consider the Go, especially if it's your secondary device and portability is important. I take the Go everywhere, because why not. And the screen is fantastic. Try one at Best Buy or similar to get a better sense. Not only that, but the surface keyboard is awesome, I can sit there and write for hours with no issues if I'm traveling.
