Today is Veteran’s Day – and I hope you will join me in honoring our nation’s military veterans and thanking our colleagues who have served our country in uniform. Veterans represent the backbone and lifeblood of our country. They put their lives on the line to protect our nation’s freedoms and values, and while in service, they and their families sacrifice the material comforts and stability that too many of us take for granted.
We are celebrating veterans in more ways, and I invite everyone to participate: for example, starting today and continuing on every Friday through November, our TDA colleagues are encouraging each other to wear red shirts to show support for our military.
I am honored to count hundreds of veterans, active duty servicemen and servicewomen, and military family members, among my colleagues. I want to personally thank all of our veterans and their families for their service. #veteransday
