They are picky. I would give them a 7 of 10 in difficulty to grow, they are also very slow at growing.

Best way to start-a-new is to fail miserably, fail at loving and fail at giving, fail at creating a flow then realign the whole

I've never not killed one. Make sure you've got some sort of humidity tent - a sawed off 2 liter coke bottle will do. Also don't overfeed the mouths, they can rot.

They're really not that difficult to grow once you understand their growing parameters. I even had one outside, in full sun with the cactus for 3 years before the pigeons decided that they'd eat the traps. Before this they would only drink the water from the saucer that was kept full because fly traps grow in boggy soil. They also go dormant in Winter and regrow in Spring.

I spite of its name you are not supposed to feed it flies as they are 'dry'and not nutritious enough. Bees would be good for it, don't overfeed it or it will die.
but seriously dont feed it bees, they are awesome creatures that pollinate like they're on crystal meth or some shit the human race needs bees more than they realize.
