  1. Saudi Arabia led coalition that is fighting with Houthi rebel movement in Yemen targeting of civilians through air strikes were "widespread and systematic", according to a leaked UN report.

  3. The UN expert group said the civilians were deliberately left to starve as a tactic of war in the last nine months.
  4. The panel urged an investigation into human rights violations.
  5. The Coalition is also trying to expel the rebels from the capital of Yemen, Sanaa and restore the authority of state government.
  6. Saudi Arabia said Houthi, who allied with the former president of Yemen associated forces, supported militarily by his rival in the region, Iran. But this has been denied.
  7. Over 5,800 people have died in wars since March, and over 80% of the population is in need of food, water and other aid, the UN said.
  8. "None of the termination of the action for reasons of reducing the suffering of the Yemeni people actually done by any group or party coalition Yemen," the report said.
  9. UN experts noted 119 coalition actions that violate international law, mostly involving a number of attacks on civilian objects.
