The dl/upl speeds are not that great based on speedtest.net, probably because it`s a beta test and people are doing tests on their vps`es as well or installing updates/packages. I`m sure once the giveaway ends, network performance will get better. Or maybe the speedtest.net chosen for the test has limitations, because judging by the FreeVPS.us bench above speed varies based on location.
The vm itself is pretty fast so far, not sure if it`s cause of the I/O speed since this is my first vm with such I/O performance(I`m more used to 30-50mbps) .
The control panel is custom made from what i can tell is VirtKick (for demo visit https://demo.virtkick.com/) and pretty easy to use. The mobile view is a bit off but i`m sure they`re working on improving it. Os reinstall takes about 5 sec to finish. There`s a java console you can use there to connect to the VM. There are 5 OS choices: Debian, Ubuntu, Centos 6.6/7, Fedora, OpenSUSE.
The vm is stable so far no downtime or unexpected reboots/crashes. I`ll get back to this part in a few days if anything changes.
