  3. Thanks for that:D Between the two the Ideapad is the better laptop and will handle Overwatch on low-medium settings. The 530 is too weak to take advantage of the memory available and is more clock and architecturally bound. Offering just the 7000 series wouldn't be enough.
  4. The in-game settings won't affect Windows settings. I guess we're looking to spend £800-£1,000.
  5. High dynamic range lighting Teapot 79. I use it mostly for work and everyday things. Will a laptop with the above graphics card be ok for this purpose? What computer do you recommend for 850 with a great processor, descent memory and storage and good resolution. I guess we're looking to spend £800-£1,000. Yes the 1050ti has a higher clock speed, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's faster overall. Not an upgrade - we're getting Overwatch for the first time. Don't really want to have to adjust the resolution of the laptop. For desktop video cards it's interface and bus motherboard compatibility , additional power connectors power supply compatibility. Most of the games can run at 720p high at 60hz. Since 2005 I've been entrenched in the video game and consumer tech industries, and fascinated with the rapid evolution of the technology surrounding them. As I said before, you might need to tweak like 2 or 3 settings from max to high and you're back at 3gb.
  6. AMD Radeon RX 560 vs Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 - It can be just as fast as the desktop model under ideal conditions, but the notebook model is usually a bit slower. Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series, 7559.

Thanks for that:D Between the two the Ideapad is the better laptop and will handle Overwatch on low-medium settings. I do however have one more question. What's the hard budget for this laptop. Yes, they are adjusted within the game. To be clear the resolution can also be changed within the game. The in-game settings won't affect Windows settings. It's the sum of the whole that's key. I understand longevity is your concern but at the same time the i7 with a Radeon 530 can feel very low spec. Regular Hard drives have a silicon platter where your data resides. They are all digital so access to your info is very quick. Steam and other gaming clients allow the user to change or have multiple library locations. That laptop is my recommendation. It will serve your household very well. Will a laptop with the above graphics card be ok for this purpose. Can you please offer us the complete make and model of the laptop.
