Supporters of the United Auto Workers say they're not surrendering their battle to unionize a Nissan auto gathering plant in Mississippi after a stinging annihilation, even as UAW adversaries say Friday's misfortune demonstrates laborers don't need the union.
More than 62 percent of specialists voting in a two-day decision at Nissan Motor Co's. Canton plant voted against the UAW, with 2,244 tallies against the union as per the National Labor Relations Board. Voting in favor of union portrayal were 1,307 laborers, or 38 percent.
"They know we didn't require it," said Nissan specialist Kim Barber, a blunt union rival who said she was observing Friday's outcome. "We didn't require outside impedance coming into our plant."
