  2. After years with HostDime/vpslatch, I am finally terminating my account with them and moving to Knownhost.

  18. I want to say, for the record, that the only reason I am leaving HostDime/vpslatch is because I can't afford their existing packages. The EOL for my CentOS build is looming, I cannot upgrade on my legacy package and, all things considered, now is the best time to do it for my business. HostDime/vpslatch are top-notch VPS providers; their support is truly excellent, they do an outstanding job of keeping clients in the loop re: possible outages due to hardware upgrades, and are all around really really good at answering support tickets in a timely fashion. If I had the money I would gladly stay with them. The only remaining thing to see is how they process my request to have my existing account credits refunded...but they're professional through and through so I don't see any probems.
  20. Sooo....it's time to move and I've now completed a live migration to Knownhost. There have been a couple of minor wrinkles but all in all the transition has been quite smooth. So far, Knownhost staff have been really tolerant with my numerous tickets asking why this is like that, etc. etc...time will tell, but so far they're really good at helping me out.
  22. I will say, too, that since I'm in Australia, having my VPS on the US west coast instead of in Florida has made my site visibly faster.
