Ever bought a used PlayStation 2 and try to play just about any DVD?
If you haven't, it doesn't let you. It asks you for a Parental Control Code.
Without the Parental Control Code, you won't be able to watch even some movies intended for children.
The method to reset it is very simple.
1. Insert a DVD that the PS2 will nag about.
2. Instead of entering a code, hit SELECT.
3. It will ask you to enter a reset code, enter "7444".
4. It will ask you to enter a new Parental Control Code. This is up to you.
That is literally all you have to do.
Now that you have reset the code, it is no longer unknown to you.
Every time you want to play a DVD, just enter the new code that you set.
