The National Museum of Mali is a museum of archaeology and anthropology situated at Bamako, the capital city of Mali. It mostly displays culture and history of the Malian people and was founded back in 1953. There are also some permanent exhibits within the museum which is comprised of ancient musical relics, clothing, and ritualistic items being used by various Malian ethnic communities. The current director of the national museum is Dr. Samuel Sidibe and it was designed by Jean-Loup Pivin.
