It's been 12 months since josie has died. It’s almost time for hollis’s spring break she is a freshman.she doesn't get to paint as much as she did she also doesn't’ feel as happy.so this week she went to visit her grave stone where she put roses next to the bark they had put in honor of the tree picture. when she was there she saw a small service for a old man there weren't as much as they were hoping for or should i say he was hoping for.as the service ended hollis went to talk to the boy she said hi and they chatted the kid look oddly rugged as if he has been running a lot the kid was about to go hollis asked where are you going he replied I will find out. ever since her weird encounter with him everything has changed almost like he was a god.the next day was the last day of school final exams she felt better then normal she made ten new friends and was the star student she made the winning shot in gym but there was more thing to make it a perfect day at high school she was going to ask her crush out jackson the junior the star of the basketball she approached him calm and asked he said whatever then he said confidently sure she looked to the side of the school there was the boy again she looked back and he was gone.she saw her new friends jumping rope saying something she couldn't” get her finger on.that she heard a story about a kid who is now jurassicly famous maniac magee.
