Trashigang is the largest district in Eastern Bhutan. As of 2015, the population of Trashigang increased to 56,200. One of the things to do in Bhutan is to visit the famous temples or as they call it “lhakhang” in this area. Chador Lhakhang holds a folk story about the replica of Chador, Vajrapani. Bremung Lhakhang is within Bidung, a small village in Trashigang. The temple is from the 15th century and the protected remains of their leader, Kuenga Wangpo, are in there. Kupijigtsam Lhakhang is also called the Temple of the Cuckoo and was also created in the 15th century.
