‘Rookie Blue’ season 5 star Missy Peregrym marries ‘Chuck’s’ Zachary Levi
Mrs. Carter: How is this for a surprise wedding?
Given what enormous fans of “Chuck” we are here at the site, we have very happy news to report that Mr. Zachary Levi himself is now a married man. He has kept his personal life largely quiet since the show and also during his stint on Broadway, but in a post on Twitter, his longtime love Missy Peregrym (of “Rookie Blue” fame) confirmed that she and Levi married this past weekend in a romantic ceremony in Malibu attended by close friends. This is a weekend after Levi was present at the Tony Awards, and it is also right in the middle of “Rookie Blue” airing its current season in Canada. (The show airs on Global there, and on ABC in the United States.)
These two had coyly teased their wedding prior to the ceremony taking place using code that only they would understand, with Missy saying to him online “great job at the Tony’s. You’re a real babe alert. How about we grab a coffee and talk about your dreams and goals?” He had replied by saying “Name the place and time. I’ll bring my own mug. Not my typical move, but I’m feelin like takin a chance.”
Since that time, the two actors’ collaborators past and present have taken to social media to congratulate them, and they have quite a lot celebrate for the rest of the summer.
Hopefully, we’ll have more good news from the Levi camp in time. We’re happy that he has gotten a chance to do some awesome things since “Chuck,” but there is admittedly always a part of us hoping to see him star on another TV show again someday. He has entered pilot season since, but none of his efforts have led to series just yet.
