A highly intelligent person is one who is flexible enough and always thinks before they speak. There are other common traits of an intelligent person such as;
1.Have patience
Leonardo Da Vinci called it “sfumato” or “smoke.” The idea is that not everything is clear, and the desire to have an answer now can lead someone into error. Intelligent people have patience with difficult, dense, or even ambiguous or vague subjects.
Patience is defined as “the ability to endure, ” and in this case, a sign of intelligence is enduring not having a clear, definite answer.
2.Good listeners
They read and go to talks. A sure sign of intelligence is reading and listening. The average CEO reads 50 books a year. Warren Buffett spends most of his time reading. He’s fond of saying “the more you learn, the more you earn.”
3.Seeking new perspectives
Intelligent people aren’t afraid or ashamed to tell you when they don’t know anything. I’ve had more than one doctor try and fake his way through a conversation when I knew more about a medical condition than he did. When I found a doctor, who said, “I don’t know. I’ll research that.”—I kept that doctor.
4.Humble.
No matter how successful they are or how big they achieved, they don’t develop a sense of arrogance and will always try to be humble. These people won’t be the first person to help but surely will be the genuine ones.
5.Flexible.
These people have the capability to adapt to any situation. No matter how new or how difficult the task given to them is, they will learn the skills and will make sure that they are the best at it. They are not afraid of anything and they believe that they have the ability to make anything happen for themselves.
6.Non-Competitive.
These people do not compete with other people instead they try to compete with themselves and try to be the best possible version every single day.
7.Observer.
These people don’t believe in wasting their energy to speak where their opinion doesn’t matter. These people only speak when there is a genuine need for them to speak. They are keen observers and try to analyze every possible thing they listen to.
8.Work oriented.
Work is a priority for them. No matter how good the sports match is or how good the party is, these people give priority to their work.
9.Time is money for them.
Utilizing time in the best possible way is the key skill that these people hold. Doing more in less time is what they believe in and thus making them capable to do more things.
10.Problem Solver.
These people have brilliant problem-solving abilities. They try to find the root cause of the problem and accordingly they create the best solution.
