Rebellious teens and glitches aside, Tinder's decision will hopefully make it a safer place and prevent those over 18 from matching with someone outside of their specified age range. Maybe she lives too far away more on this below. If you're an adult, you can't find idea people. In the unlikely event you actually get a match, tinder cant change age range can do further screening at that time before deciding to talk to her or not. Now with dating in a Tinder world, the trend has changed to the extreme opposite, where members of the hottest el dating app are now clamoring to indicate an age of triple digits at 100 years old, to hide the truth about their real age. The menu icon appears as three horizontal lines in the top left corner, just to the left of the Tinder logo. That said, I was prime at the numbers, and I feel I am not doing nearly as well as I could be, hoping to get some advice. Does the fact that she has chosen not to see 19 year old guys on tinder mean that she can't come up on theirs. La does that mean. If, however, you have run out of active profiles to swipe on, you may encounter people who have been inactive for weeks or even months. So, it will not be as easy as just making a second account and adding a couple of caballeros. Since March 2017, that is.
If a 20 year old female sets her age limit to 20-24, then obviously only guys within that age range will come up when she is using tinder. However, my question is, if a 19 year old guy sets his age limit from say, 19-25, could this girl come up on his tinder as he is swiping? Does the fact that she has chosen not to see 19 year old guys on tinder mean that she can't come up on theirs? Do you actually know this for a fact? Because that's what I had hoped and it wouldn't make sense for tinder to show 19 year olds my picture when there will definitely be no match, but just being paranoid! The age limits etc you suggest are simply suggestions. Tinder does have a slight lee way. For example you limit may be 20-24 within 24 miles, but it may show you a 26 yo within 26 miles. If they liked you it also increases the chance of this happening. Generally however 90% of the people you will see will be within the limits you set. I do believe tinder does state this somewhere themselves. Tinder does have a slight lee way. For example you limit may be 20-24 within 24 miles, but it may show you a 26 yo within 26 miles. What makes you think that 90% are within the limits you set? It probably was on their loading screen or something. I can't remember exactly where in all honesty. Also the 90% figure is a rough guess, I certainly get a small, but noticeable amount of people outside my distance and age parameters. I can't remember exactly where in all honesty. I was thinking more about whether I would appear on someones tinder if they are outside of the age range I selected. So if I am 20 years old, and I selected to see guys age 20-24, will a guy well under 20 or well over 24 see me on their tinder, if they have selected, say 18-40 as their age range? Tinder does not work like website that ask you to put an age range in. Usually they won't block them seeing you, rather they will block you receiving emails or put them in a separate folder you will not get notifications from. Some sites even allow premium members to bypass the age setting you post premium is primarily aimed at men after all. A few will point blank block emails or you coming up on searches but most will stop you coming up on their suggested members, however 99% of the time they can still see your profile. If you put 20-24 you will generally only see people in that group. Possibly with a year or two's exception. I do believe the closer you are the less strict it is with age, the closer in age you are the less strict it gets with distance. However if a 30 year old puts 20-34 for example, they would still be able to see you and swipe right, but they would not never come up on your list unless you changed your own parameters because they are simply too far away from 24. Quick answer would be yes they can see you. Usually they won't block them seeing you, rather they will block you receiving emails or put them in a separate folder you will not get notifications from. So you mean tinder shows people pictures of people that they would never have a chance of being matched with as they will not be shown on that persons list? That would just lead to loads of people getting fewer matches and putting people off using tinder surely? That would just lead to loads of people fewer matches and putting people off using tinder surely? I believe so, main reason being people constantly change their preferences, and it means they would not have 0 matches straight away. In all honesty I don't think it ever leads to fewer matches, because it's completely possible to swipe through an entire city exceptions possibly london and birmingham within 4-5 days anyway. Do you know if this is definitely true or are you just assuming? There are a few people outside of the age range I selected that I would definitely not want to see me on there! I once changed my parameters by a good 6 years, and got a match on the second swipe and a fair few after that so I presume they must of swiped much earlier. It's also suggested with tinders wording IIRC. Why wouldn't you want people to see you on tinder? Not going to lie I also want to know this information to avoid certain ex and her friends knowing I'm on there. If the age difference is big enough apart, ie. I search 18-21, are 24-28 year olds likely to see me? And also how does discovery work? Could I swipe through quickly and turn discovery off, or would my matches not then see me either?
