Cooks, bakers, agricultural laborers and people who pack and prepare products for shipment were the workers with the highest COVID-related risk. Risks also differed by race and ethnicity: mortality during the pandemic was 36 percent higher for people aged 18-65 of Latin American origin overall and 59 percent higher for food and farm workers in this community compared to the no-pandemic scenario.
