  1. Control Panels for managing web hosting accounts
  2. Hi everyone,
  3. I guess that most of us have been using cPanel both on personal and server level as it is the most popular hosting automation panel in the industry. However, there are a number of other similar software automation apps.
  4. My questions is -Which one of them have you used and if you are provider, do you offer services based on any other control panel, different from cPanel?

  21. We like DirectAdmin.
  22. It's cheaper, faster and easier to use than C'Panel

  24. We use Plesk. The older versions weren't great but starting with 11.5 we've been super happy with it.

  27. I've messed with cPanel and DirectAdmin a bit and found cPanel easier to use just because I have more experience with it.
  28. Plesk used to be a huge pain but I hear it's improved - I haven't tried it recently though.

  30. I've dealt with some proprietary control panels, but for now, at least, I'm sticking with cPanel.

  35. We have used cPanel, Plesk and VestaCP. If you are looking for a free control panel then we would recommend VestaCP.
  36. I’ve only used cPanel in a production environment, although for testing I’ve used both VestaCP & CyberPanel. The latter is more modern, user friendly and secure but is missing a few features compared to competitors.
  37. I’m interested in using Plesk once my business is making a good profit though, and then offer Plesk & cPanel as Server Options and possibly provide a couple of locations for each.
  38. Give the customer plenty of choice, even for Shared Hosting, cPanel/Plesk, CloudLinux / No CloudLinux, Country 1 / Country 2, SSH / No SSH Access Etc.

  43. Coming back to the thread I have opened, I'd suggest you trying CentOs Web Panel.

  48. We have used cPanel, Plesk and VestaCP. If you are looking for a free control panel then we would recommend VestaCP.
  49. VestaCP?? With all the current security issues?
  50. If your in search of a free control panel, check out cyberpanel. We use it for our free hosting platform and for a free panel, it is feature rich and visually pleasant.

  55. Tinkered with Webmin, Centos web Panel, VestaCP.... VestaCP is the easiest and simplest, but not really good for production... (just from my experience)....
  56. Maybe we should have a poll in HD, on usage!
  57. CPanel - most commonly used
  58. Plesk -
  59. Anyone can compare with Cpanel?
  60. @Kieran: Any reason why do you want to give Plesk a try, having cpanel?
  61. DirectAdmin
  62. CyberPanel
  63. First time I have come across. OpenLiteSpeed, Command line option, PowerDNS - Interesting!
  64. VestaCP
  65. I really love VestaCP, cause they have cli, api, and very light interface. I only use it for testing, btw.
  66. Unpatched zero day vulnerabilities. Can add layer of security by blocking admin port from public(if you can).
  67. CentOS Web Panel
  68. Nice!

  73. There is also CyberPanel which uses Open Litespeed as the webserver which is really cool. Been playing around with it for the last month or so and it is pretty good.
  74. I don't know that i would host customer accounts with it but for some of my hobby projects it is working pretty well. Devs are active and responsive on their Discord channel.

  80. Good idea, things have changed over the last few years. Might be good to have a fresh poll running.
