  1. 2016 would see the Leicester flirtation with the top of the EPL end, the cynics had predicted. In the event, the Foxes not only ended the first month of the new year again at the top of the league, three points clear of Manchester City, but also emerge as credible frontrunners after a stunning display against Liverpool.
  2. Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez continue to strike terror in defences with their speed and skill, and Vardy’s stunning strike against Liverpool is already a candidate for the goal of the year.
  3. Their manager refuses to consider his seemingly star-less team as contenders for the title, preferring to focus on the ‘good’ feeling in the squad, but on the ground there is a feeling that Leicester are not merely flirting with the EPL title but are frontrunners in the marriage stakes!
