As Google update came in December 2017 that length of the Meta Description tag is increased from 160 to 320 characters.
I updated the meta tags of my website and increased the length to 320 characters.

Hi Friends,
As Google update came in December 2017 that length of the Meta Description tag is increased from 160 to 320 characters.
I updated the meta tags of my website and increased the length to 320 characters.
But now when I search for my keywords Google is again showing meta description only up to 160 characters and showing ... later.
My keyword is "nata coaching classes in hyderabad"
Please suggest why this is happening.

It officially increase the meta tag character limit 160 to 320.
There is know perfect length of meta description it can vary from 50 to 320 words.

It was true that the Meta Description length was increased from 160 to 320 in December 2017.
But at present the length of Meta description is still 160. You can insert more than 160 characters in Meta Description. Even search engine Land has cleared that Meta Description Length is 160.

Meta Description length on Google has been shortened after the last update in 2017. Length reached limits up to 290 characters. Now latest google update in 2018 is to keep it from 120 to 158 characters.

From my own experience, you should make your description about 130-160 characters. If you want to make it longer, make sure you have the most essential info in the beginning, so if it gets truncated, it'll still be shown.

generally, recommend writing meta descriptions between 50–300 characters.
If Google has shortened the usable "length" of the description:

Why go all the way to 300?
However, if you have already gone all the way:
… should you go back and shorten them now? Google’s advice is to not focus too much on these, as many of the snippets Google chooses are dynamic anyway and not pulled from your meta descriptions. In fact, a recent study conducted by Yoast showed most of the snippets Google shows are not from the meta description, but rather they are from the content on your web pages.

Use maximum 160 characters, be always on the safe side when you are getting different answers.
According to Google and as well as according to high authority Digital sharing news sites that 160 characters are sufficient.
The character limit for meta description is 156.
Meta description actually it is 1840 pixels allowed in google and for the page title, it is 580 pixels. to generate title and description you can use a tool of title length checker tool this will help you out.
Google officially increased the characters in the Meta description. Now you can add up to 320characters in the Meta description.
