  1. How do I manage files?
  2. This might be an easy question even for a beginner. I am asked to manage the files at a website. How could I upload new files to this website? I can see that it is uploaded to the host but it does not reflect to the site. Thanks a lot!

  16. Depends on the site and potentially the host. For example, if the site is running wordpress, then you would use tools within the wordpress admin. If the site uses a site builder, then you would use that and publish the content. And finally if the site uses plain html files, you would use a program on your computer and a FTP client to upload the files to the server.

  20. Can you provide more details on your hosting situation? For example, are you using a CMS like Wordpress or Joomla? Do you have accontrol panel like cPanel? This will help us to provide better advice
  21. If using cPanel, then definitely the cPanel File Manager is the way to go. If you are not using cPanel, then a simple FTP program such as WinSCP should suffice.
  22. It may seem very beginner but clean your browser cache, it usually takes a while to make changes.
  23. and if you are a beginner, always use a panel, it will be easier for you to manage your website

  27. well, whenever I have programmed and made some changes, changes of image, or something in my code, for some reason it was stuck with the previous code.

  29. That must be in your local PC. Globally, in case of file uploading changes made instantly. If not there must be in issue.
  30. Manage Files
  31. As was mentioned, if you are using a CMS such as Wordpress, Joomla, or any other common ones simply upload it via the admin panel.
  32. Also, if you are using cPanel or another control panel, you can easily add files via the file manager. Additionally, you can adjust CSS, JS and any other file for the webite (for future reference, since you said you are managing their site).
