Cairo Citadel
One of the places to visit in Egypt is Cairo Citadel or the Saladin Citadel of Cairo. This citadel is located at Mokattam and is among of the great legacies left behind by the powerful Muslim ruler and capturer of lands, Salah al-Din or Saladin, in short. Within the citadel are three other tourist attractions to check out such as the Al-Gawhara Palace Museum, the Carriage Museum, and the Egyptian Military Museum. The two mosques with Cairo Citadel are the Al-Nasir Muhammad Qala’un Mosque (1500’s) and the Mosque of Suleyman Pasha (1700’s).
