  1. Light heavyweight champion Andre Ward has resigned from boxing undefeated at 33 years old.
  2. The American won a re-coordinate with Sergey Kovalev by TKO in the eighth round in Las Vegas in June, having vanquished the Russian in a consistent focuses choice in November 2016 to bring together the WBA, IBF and WBO belts.
