FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi reportedly wants this star to replace Neymar, who joined Paris Saint-Germain in August, at the Camp Nou.
Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has been heavily linked with Manchester United in recent transfer windows, but according to Don Balon, Messi wants the star to join him at Barca.
The player has previously admitted that turning down the Catalan giants would be difficult, although Atletico are unlikely to want to sell the player to a direct rival.
It has been claimed that Messi believes the Frenchman can fill the void Neymar left at Barca, although his club would be expected to only go after the player next season.
Griezmann, who has been one of the more consistent performers in La Liga over the past few seasons, could, however, still be tempted to join United.
The striker was expected to join the Red Devils at the beginning of the season, but with his current club's transfer ban being upheld, he decided to stay.
Ousmane Dembele was initially signed as Neymar's replacement, but perhaps his injury has shown that Barca could be a little short in squad depth.
