  1. Extent of the Work
  2. God has qualified His people to enlighten the world. He has
  3. entrusted them with faculties by which they are to extend His work
  4. until it shall encircle the globe. In all parts of the earth, they are
  5. to establish sanitariums, schools, publishing houses, and kindred
  6. facilities for the accomplishment of His work.
  7. The closing message of the gospel is to be carried to “every
  8. nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people.” Revelation 14:6. In
  9. foreign countries many enterprises for the advancement of this message
  10. must yet be begun and carried forward. The opening of hygienic
  11. restaurants and treatment rooms, and the establishment of sanitariums
  12. for the care of the sick and the suffering, is just as necessary
  13. in Europe as in America. In many lands medical missions are to
  14. be established to act as God’s helping hand in ministering to the
  15. afflicted.—Testimonies for the Church 7:51.
  16. Educate, Educate, Educate
  17. We must educate, educate, educate, pleasantly and intelligently.
  18. We must preach the truth, pray the truth, and live the truth, bringing
  19. it, with its gracious, health-giving influences within the reach of
  20. those who know it not. As the sick are brought into touch with the
  21. Life-giver, their faculties of mind and body will be renewed. But in [31]
  22. order for this to be, they must practice self-denial and be temperate
  23. in all things. Thus only can they be saved from physical and spiritual
  24. death and restored to health.—Medical Ministry, 262.
  25. If we would elevate the moral standard in any country where
  26. we may be called to go, we must begin by correcting their physical
  27. habits. Virtue of character depends upon the right action of the
  28. powers of the mind and body.—Counsels on Health, 505.
