Savi and Joss’s mom (Janet) comes for a visit, which is a little awkward when she walks in on Harry packing up the kitchen. She doesn’t know Savi is pregnant or that Harry and Savi are having major problems. Janet takes her daughters out to lunch and explains that she’s moving to Rio. We also find out that Joss and Savi have different daddies. That’s right, cheating on your husband must be genetic. Savi ends up telling her mother that she cheated on Harry, but never reveals that she is pregnant. Joss is initially really jazzed that her mom is visiting. She plans to help her mother move into her new home in Rio and to use her vacation time to stay with her for a couple of weeks. She even throws her mom a going away party. However, her heart gets broken when Janet ends up standing her up.
Her mother leaves for the airport without Joss and with some man. Savi comforts Joss and then gives Joss her paternity results and tells her to keep them from her. She tells Joss that she wants the baby just to be hers until it is born and that she doesn’t want to know who the father is. There is now peace between the two sisters.
April is trying to move away from her disaster with Paul and she tries to progress her relationship with Richard. She finally tells Lucy about Richard, and Lucy is enthusiastic and happy for her mother. However, Paul apparently didn’t go back to Florida. He ends up back on her doorstep and says that he wants to see Lucy. I really think he lost that privilege.
*This episode was anticlimatic in a lot of ways. The plot didn’t progress that much for Savi or Joss. Even with April, it was pretty obvious that Paul would probably want to see his daughter. Karen, though, this might get dangerous.
Anyone who has seen the “Mistresses” promotions — which means anyone who has watched more than 30 seconds of ABC in the last two months — can’t have missed what ABC is selling here: seductive women seemingly reveling in a glamorous life of erotic sexual encounters.
You might further assume these women are mistresses in the classic sense: “kept women” underwritten by rich men who like a little something on the side.
You’d assume wrong, on a couple of counts.
It is true all four women enter into sexual relationships outside of marriage.
But their pleasure is usually ambivalent and often closer to tormented. The price tag for sin on “Mistresses” runs high — which, of course, makes sense. Who’d watch a TV show about women who were all happy and content?
Savi(the still sexy Milano)is a high class and professional attorney who has a thing for her African American male co partner, and these little sessions can lead to a big secret. And then little sister Josslyn(Jes Macallan)a real estate agent who's a wild free spirit who plays the strange bedfellow games as she swings both ways in the bedroom even liking her fellow female kittens!
